Well it's been too long since I last posted. So much can happen in a couple months time. Hockey season is upon me as the winter season hits us with cold, frozen ponds- ahhh! What a wonderful thing! I have been gearing up for alumni games and keeping fit; indoors and out. I have been collaborating with Dr. Andrew Joy who is a crossfitter. We share ideas and workouts and I feel great. I could feel greater if I would commit more but when a strong goal is to have a solid family connection- the kids and wife come 1st. Chasing them around is excercise enough for me. I have learned, and made a resolution, that a full workout can be compacted into efficient time to manage all my other responsibilities- if done properly. Most of all- and I have always lived by this- it must be enjoyable! Look forward to your workout and challenge yourself. I came across and old college exercise of mine, the muscle up. I couldn't do one so I persisted for about 45 minutes until I had to modify it. I vow to get it down by April when I must take another challenge- Marine Bootcamp. Yes, I, Victor Hurtuk, not of much sound mind or body am volunteering my well-being to see what it is like to go through the rigors of military training. It is a 4 day adventure and am looking forward to it.
Well, off to preparation. Be healthy and happy and fit!

Halloween Scavenger Hunt
It's time to break out the masks and costumes and hit the holiday running. We are hosting a Halloween scavenger hunt and predict close to 100 kids terrorizing our front yard in haunting search of treats. It has been a chaotic fall as the leaves change color. The kids are strongly involved in soccer and cheerleading while I welcome the early stages of hockey. So, get some stress release like myself, put together a costume that makes people say, "that can be _____!" I believe that normal is boring and Halloween is a great time to express your alter ego and have demonstrate some free spirit (no pun intended). Happy Trick or Treating!

Wii Fit Parody
This video was displayed for all of us at a Fitness Conference. If you're a believer in the United States of Obesity, then you will get a kick out of the 2nd video down on the right! Enjoy.
Family time is important
I am home with my 3 children enjoying some quality family time. Every time I see them it reminds me how important and precious life is. If you get the chance, spend at least 15 minutes (even if by yourself) outside enjoying nature and watching the marvels of life. Life goes by too fast so enjoy all the little steps.

I did it!
I am at a Fitness Bootcamp and just learned how to create my own blog. I'm on my way in the technology world. Props to my man Rob Belley (nice assist).
